Echo Packaging has become Aquapak Polymer’s first UK manufacturing partner, introducing supply of domestic grade infection control bags made from Hydropol. Safe for use in domestic washing machines, they are ideal for front-line workers to safely take home used work clothes for washing. They are already being used across the UK by nurses, care home workers, police officers and GP surgery teams in the fight against COVD-19.
Bags containing potentially-contaminated clothes can be put straight into the washing machine. They are designed to completely dissolve at 40C/104F (although 60C/140F is recommended to remove pathogens) without clogging household washing machines or causing environmental issues in the waste-water stream.
The water-soluble D-SOLV bags – sized W 670mm (26”) x L 800mm (31”) x 25µ – reduce the physical handling of contaminated clothing as they dissolve completely without leaving any residue.
