Since Finisterre launched its #leavenotrace garment bags a few months ago, Aquapak Polymers Ltd has been approached by many specialist and boutique brands who share Finisterre’s burning desire to eliminate plastic pollution at source and reduce its impact on the environment.
In order to give these companies the opportunity to try out similar specialty garment bags made from Aquapak’s Hydropol™ , Aquapak has worked with one of its strategic partners, Maxim Packaging (a high end supplier to the apparel industry) to develop a range of bags which can be ordered in minimum order quantities (MOQ) of just 1000 bags from a dedicated website, http://e-maxonline.com/
Bags produced from Aquapak’s Hydropol™ polymer are an environmentally friendly, biodegradable, non-toxic, water-soluble, marine-safe alternative to the single use traditional non-recyclable plastic ‘polybags’, which are causing such an environmental issue.
The 30 micron clear, lay flat bags are initially available in three sizes to suit a range of garments such as shirts, sweaters and jeans, and have a fold-over closure flap and 2 x 7mm dia. vent holes. One side is printed to tell end users that it is a Zero Trace, Zero Waste bag, with multiple disposal options, with standard suffocation warnings displayed in multiple languages.
First shipments are expected to take place mid-April with initial stocks being held in Shanghai, China and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Once stock is in place throughout Maxim’s global network, a service level of 5 days is anticipated.
