Aquapak will be featured in the forthcoming Sourcing Sustainable Packaging Masterclass hosted by Common Objective. CEO, Mark Lapping and Technical & Business Development Director, Dr John Williams will be taking part in a Q&A session discussing how Aquapak’s polymer is a real solution to the world’s plastic pollution crisis.
This is Common Objective’s second masterclass on sustainability, and will focus on, “Sourcing Sustainable Packaging: What Options Exist That Are Planet-Friendly and Meet Quality Requirements?”
They chose the subject as plastic packaging used in supply chain logistics and distribution is a growing issue for their members, especially with e-commerce rapidly rising – the market is predicted to grow from $408 billion in 2017 to more than $706 billion by 2022.
Finisterre, who introduced their #leavenotrace garment bags made from Aquapak polymer in 2019, will also be sharing their story; and how they introduced them to their packaging to provide a non-toxic, marine-safe substitute for traditional plastic which is fit-for-purpose without causing environmental pollution.
